Business apps

Your own app. In your own name.

A real app on the iPhone and Android stores, built and looked after by Meeri — and published under your business, in developer accounts that are yours and stay yours. Your regulars get a shortcut on their phone. You get an app you can take with you.

£0 upfront for a standard Meeri system · £39 a month · No VAT to add

The thing that matters most

Your accounts.
Your listing.

The Apple and Google developer accounts are opened and controlled by you, under the account type and eligibility rules that apply to your business. The app is published through your accounts, not Meeri's. Meeri is given the access needed to build, submit and maintain it, and nothing more.

Your branding, the business content you supply and your customer data remain yours. The Meeri platform and the reusable software that power the app remain part of the Meeri service. You are subscribing to a managed Meeri system rather than buying the platform underneath it. You pay Apple's and Google's own account fees directly to them.

What you get

A real app,
looked after.

A standard app is built from parts Meeri already has, set up for your business. Apple and Google keep final control over what goes in their stores, and we never promise otherwise.

iPhone and Android

A branded app for the Apple App Store and a branded app for Google Play. Not a website in a wrapper, and not a home-screen shortcut pretending to be one.

Submitted and published

We prepare the app, build the release, create the submission, deal with the normal review questions, make the technical corrections and publish. The store decides; we do the work.

The listing, done

Title, description, category, screenshots, icon and the privacy and support details the stores require — prepared from your business information and branding.

Booking and ordering

Standard booking and standard ordering, where your business uses them, with customer accounts, confirmations and push notifications.

Kept working

Compatibility updates, platform updates, standard fixes and the normal maintenance an app needs to keep working. That is what the monthly is for.

Your payment account

You own your own payment provider account. We connect the system to it. A fixed 20p transaction fee applies only when a customer's payment is successfully processed through a Meeri payment system. Your provider's own processing fees apply separately.

Different work, quoted first

Anything outside the Standard scope — dispatch or allocation rules, connections to systems we do not already support, custom calculations, hardware — is not refused. It is agreed and priced separately in writing before work starts, so you decide with the number in front of you.

Said before you sign, not after

What happens
if you leave.

This is the part of the deal most people would rather you found out later. We would rather you knew now.

How ending works. The service runs on a 30-day rolling notice basis. Either side can give 30 calendar days' written notice to end it. The service and the applicable fees continue during the notice period, and when that period ends, access to the Meeri infrastructure ends in line with the agreement.

What stays with you. Your Apple and Google developer accounts, your store listing, your domain, your branding, the content you supplied and your customer data. We do not take any of it back.

What stops is the part you were paying for. If the service ends, functionality that depends on the Meeri platform stops working. Before any client app goes live, its service-ended behaviour must also be implemented and tested on both iPhone and Android so existing users are not left with a broken app experience. The listing can be taken down so nobody installs something that no longer works, following the store rules that apply at the time.

You are subscribing to a managed Meeri system, not buying the platform underneath it. If that is not the deal you want, you do not have to buy it. We put all of this in writing before you sign, because nobody should find it out at cancellation. Read the cancellation policy

What business owners ask

Frequently asked
questions.

What does it cost to get an app made?

A standard branded app is part of the same £39 a month system, with £0 upfront for a standard Meeri system, where what you need fits the standard Meeri build set out on this page. Apple and Google charge their own developer account fees. Those accounts are opened and controlled by you, and you pay those charges directly to Apple and Google.

Whose developer accounts and app listing are they?

Your Apple and Google developer accounts are yours, and Meeri works through the access needed to build, submit and maintain your app. Your branding, business content and customer data remain yours. The Meeri platform and reusable software that power the app remain part of the Meeri service.

Do I need a website as well?

Not always. An app needs the privacy, contact and support information the stores require, and that often has to live on the web. The more important reason is simpler: a website helps new customers discover and understand your business, while an app gives returning customers a direct way back. They do different jobs. If both fit your standard Meeri system, they are still covered by the same £39 a month. See websites

Are there transaction fees?

A fixed 20p transaction fee applies only when a customer's payment is successfully processed through a Meeri payment system. If a customer books through the app and pays at your till instead, there is no Meeri fee. If a payment fails, there is no fee. Your payment provider's own processing charges are separate and go to them, not to us. The full detail is on the prices page. See every price

What is not included in the standard system?

Anything outside the Standard scope. Unusual scheduling or dispatch logic. Connections to outside systems we do not already support. Moving data out of an old system. Custom calculations, hardware, or workflows a regulator requires. None of that is refused — it is agreed and priced separately in writing before work starts. Text messages are possible but carry an outside per-message cost, so they are not unlimited inside the monthly.

How long does it take?

We confirm your expected build and launch timetable before work starts. An app has one step a website does not: the stores review it before it goes live, and how long they take is theirs to decide, not ours. We tell you where it is at each stage.

Tell us what your customers come back for. We will tell you whether an app is the right answer — and if a website alone would do the job, we will say so.
